4. Buccal carbuncle and whiskers.

The hair grows around the mouth. The hair on the upper lip is buccal carbuncle and one on the opposite lip and cheek is whiskers. These are the sexual character of male. It grows when the the Qi and blood of the Chong Channel rise up to the constructive system gate while the arrival of menstrual function ( the famale's Qi and blood of the Chong Channel decline down to the blood sea cells, so they have no buccal carbuncle and whiskers). They are nourished by the hand sunlight Yang and channels, blood and Qi of hand Taiyang . If Chong Channel has adequate Qi and blood, the buccal carbuncle and whiskers will grow on time. If the aforementioned channels and Qi and blood are all adequate, the buccal carbuncle and whiskers will be clear and elegant. It there is little blood and much Qi, the buccal carbuncle and whiskers will be not thick and nourishing. If channels and Qi and blood are all little, the buccal carbuncle and whiskers will not grow. The preventive and curative measures are to nourish liver and kidney. The whiskers are the hair on the male cheeks which grow by the surplus vital energy of Chong Channel and Collateral and nourish by sunlight Yang and collateral Yang. If the above channels and collaterals have adequate blood and Qi, there will be whiskers (which link to the ears). If the whiskers are thin, there will be little Qi and much blood. If the there are no whiskers, there will be little Qi and blood. The whiskers grow by the buccal carbuncle. There will be no whiskers without the buccal carbuncle. But men who have the buccal carbuncle and have no whiskers are normal people.

5. Hair of the armpit and pubic hair and health.

The hair of the armpit and pubic hair grow by the Qi and blood of Chong Channel and conception vessels while the arrival of menstrual function. The hair of the armpit is nourished by the hand Taiyin and hand sunlight Yang collateral while pubic hair is invigorated by the sunlight Yang collateral. If the blood and Qi of the above channels and collaterals are little, the pubic hair and the hair of the armpit are short and thin and dry. No hair of the armpit and pubic hair show the inadequacy of the menstruation . The curative measures are to nourish liver and kidney and intensify the Chong and Ren meridians.
